Waiting
I don’t wait well. I guess very few do, but I really have a hard time maintaining my sanity when I’m pouring over a calendar. Thus the difficulty of the last few months. As Sara and I have wrapped up our time at Sevier Heights, God has allowed us to maintain great relationships and have some great times. Along the way I have to be careful not to allow staring at the calendar and asking what if and when to consume my nights and weekends. Waiting on July to turn to August and August to September is only going to pale in comparison to waiting for December to turn to January as Arrowhead gets off the ground. So, I’m asking God to help us enjoy every step of the way.
I’ve told students for years that you can wish your life away. When you’re in elementary school you want to go to middle school, and then you find out that middle school is the term used for 3 years of awkwardness, so you’re ready for high school. Then you want to turn 16, then 18, then 21, then to become and adult. Then you realize you either want to be a kid again or you start having kids and then you start waiting on their milestones.
I want to learn to live out Ephesians 5:15-16! Today is an incredible gift from God! Let’s make the most of every opportunity!
